As the darker months have stepped in and I’ve knuckled down and started working to keep warm (or whatever it is I’ve been doing), I’ve neglected to update things here.

One thing that I absolutely should not have left so late is that I currently have a moving image work on show at Southwark Park Galleries’ Lake Gallery in their 38th Annual Open Exhibition.

The show opened with a preview event on the 11th November and will be closing with another event between 1pm and 4pm on the 3rd December, which will feature mulled wine, carol singing, and Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom and Lydia Blakeley judging the gallery’s yearly Best in Show prize.

There’s some really great work in the show and it’s so nice to be able to walk around and see stuff in person again, not to mention the wonderful sense of community and connection that was so difficult to maintain over the past few years.

If you can get to the show in the few days remaining, then I strongly recommend it, and if you can afford to support the artists and gallery by buying a piece or two in these trying times, then all the more reason to pop down!
